Old Japanese concrete decorative stand/1930-1970/Bonsai stand

About the Item

This is a small stand made of old Japanese concrete. This shape is called "Makidai" and it got its name from the fact that its legs curl inward. "Maki" = roll "Dai" = stand This design is common in China and Japan, and is an old design. Most of them are made of wood, but this one is made of concrete, and is thought to have been made between 1930 and 1970, around the mid-Showa period. I sometimes see wooden ones, but this is the first time I've seen one made of concrete. The inorganic atmosphere and Japanese design combine to create an attractive item that fits modern spaces. There is a 5mm difference in height between the left and right sides. Also, there is a crack that has been repaired in one place on the top plate, so please see the detailed image. Weight: 3.55kg
