Pair of Han Dynasty Seated Figures

About the Item

Pair of seated pottery figures, Han dynasty (2nd century BC to 2nd century AD). The taller of the two sits very still and upright, his hands folded into his sleeves, gazing straight ahead. His companion is slouched to the side, with one shoulder hiked up (particularly visible from the back). It is unusual to find a pair this old in such good condition, their faces still clearly suggested even after 2,000 years.
