18th Century Chinese Plate Blue and White Porcelain, Qing Qianlong circa 1770
About the Item
This is a very good condition hand-painted Chinese Export porcelain plate, in a typical hand painted pattern and dating to the second half of the 18th Century, Qing Qianlong period, circa 1770.
The plate is well potted with a lovely glassy light blue glaze and well cut foot rim.
The plate is hand decorated with a fishing village waterside scene with fisherman in boats on the water, by houses with trees, mountains in the background and birds flying in the sky, all within a double blue circle in varying shades of cobalt blue. There is a diamond diaper border to the outer rim which has a cafe-au-lait hand painted finish to its outer edge.
There are no markings to the base of this plate but we date it to the second half of the 18th century, circa 1770, from the Qing, Qianlong period.
Overall a very good 18th C plate in remarkable condition for about 250 years old.
