A 20th Century Chinese Porcelain Table Lantern (SINGLE ITEM)
About the Item
Pair of very fine Chinese butterfly decorated table lanterns, 20th century.
In the tradition of marriage lanterns.
Composed of four parts each. Finely enameled decorated borders with butterflies on a pristine white ground. The undersides and interiors unglazed revealing very fine porcelain. Unusual form dating from the 1920s-1950s. Each of the four parts beautifully made and fit precisely. One small chip on the top rim lip of the base on one lantern.
