Antique Kutani Maison Ginger Jar
About the Item
Antique Kutani Maison ginger jar.This is quite the statement piece, it is delicatly painted with beautiful pastel colors of peacocks, floral arrangement surround the figures, the colors are soft yet vivid and the Foo dog on the lid is holding a orange red ball under the paw. The gold is softly faded only in this area, as can be seen on photos and well as the orange ball, which lead me to believe it was open and closed once upon a time quite often.
This came from a dealer out in Washington state a family friend and has been in my possession now for over 30 years, and ready to re-home.
