Antique Meiji Period 19th Century Japanese Kobako Okimono Liu Hai TOad

About the Item

This is the most unusually made antique Kobako / Okimono we have had It shows Liu Hai the Alchemist with Chan Chu, the tree-legged toad who taught him the secret of immortality. It has a small panel inside with a mark. Condition Chips, frits, small cracks and some missing pieces (large one in picture). The lower part is held together by a robe. Size 60cm high Period 19th century Meiji Period (1867-1912)
