Chinese Export Porcelain Comport Sang-de-boeuf mottled red monochrome, Ca 1940

About the Item

This is a very decorative Chinese Export Comport on a footed base, with a monochrome ox blood red "Sang-de-boeuf" glaze, with a beautiful mottled glaze, which we date to the mid 20th Century. The comport is well potted with a very decorative shape. It has a beautiful Ox-blood red or flambé monochrome glaze known as "Sang-de-bouef" with much mottled detail, having different shades of red. the inner base has a soft light green glaze. The base has an impressed square seal mark. Overall a very beautiful and decorative piece.
