Chinese Rose Medallion Reticulated Porcelain Chestnut Basket with Underplate
About the Item
This unusual Chinese Export Rose Medallion chestnut bowl retains the original underplate and dates from the Qing Dynasty (1644-1912). A handmade and hand painted piece, there are the usual glaze pops and slightly uneven paint strokes typical of handmade porcelain over 100 years old but overall in fine condition, no cracks or repairs. The set includes a heavily reticulated charger and open cut bowl that is a nice large size to display fruit or nuts.
The underplate measures 11.25 wide x 9.50 deep x 2 tall.

- Condition:Wear consistent with age and use. There are small areas on the reticulation and bowl rim that seem to be missing glaze which probably occured in the firing. I have tried to show these examples in the last images. The imperfections by no means detract from the overall beauty.
