Large Antique Blue & White Canton Pattern Chinese Export Porcelain Serving Tray

About the Item

A fine antique Chinese export porcelain serving tray. In the Canton pattern. Decorated in underglaze blue depicting a mountainous Chinese village. The background has houses, a mountains, and a pagoda. The midground is a river with boats and some more houses. The foreground depicts a bridge across the river, a rocky outcropping, trees, and another structure. With a blue border to both the rim and the central picture. Simply a wonderful example of Canton porcelain! Date: Early 19th Century Overall Condition: It is in overall good, as-pictured, used estate condition with no cracks or repairs. Condition Details: There are some minor losses or fritting to the rim here and there, some glaze wear to the interior. and a few popped glaze bubbles here & there. Otherwise, there are some fine & light surface scratches and other signs of expected light wear consistent with age. Pattern: Canton Marks: Unmarked Measurements: Height: ca. 1 7/8 in.
