About the Item
From our collection of antique Chinese porcelain, this pair of 19th century Chinese blue and white Phoenix tail Yen Yen vases (Fengweizun) with fine decoration of precious arcaic bronzes and the auspicious eight treasures on a crisp white ground.
The waist with Ruyi head pattern, the foot with a square edged phoenix tail design. The text on the underside reads “Made during the great Chenghua reign of the great ming dynasty” although these are not Mark and Period vases.
