About the Item
A song dynasty style ceramic pillow of the Ding kiln. The Ding kiln is one of the most important Song dynasty kilns. It produces milky white or beige glazed pieces that are favored for their simplicity and country grace. A pair of cherub boys raise up a lotus leaf which is engraved with lotuses. One of the boys has a foo dog hovering over him, symbolizing good fortune and protection. A wonderful piece of Chinese Folk Art that can be used in sophisticated modern living.
