19th Century Chinese Country Chest with Secret Drawers

About

This rustic piece is from Northern China. It has carvings of lotus flowers, sunflowers on the front sides and peonies on the sides. They symbolize peace and good fortune. The carvings are of the typical northern style, which is chunky and rustic. Two large drawers are full length, two little secret drawers flank the main drawers. Natural finish show the nice wood grains. This is a solid piece that will serve many purpose and work in many styles of interiors. Solid wood. Tenons and mortises.
