19th Century Chinese Scholars' Cabinet


Seamlessly constructed and lacquered black, this spectacular Qing-dynasty cabinet provides the perfect blank canvas for dozens of painted scholars' objects, including vases, censors, brush pots, books and auspicious fruits and flowers. Still vividly colored after centuries of use, the lavish decorations cover the cabinet from top to bottom, complemented by brass moon and dagger hardware.
