Chinese Dragon Scale Tea Table, c. 1900
About the Item
This early 20th century tea table is crafted from a fine hardwood, revered by collectors for its rarity and unusual grain pattern. The detailed carvings on the legs and apron create a pattern that we have never before encountered, and was described to us, by the collector from whom we acquired it, as "the scales on a dragon's back."
