Chinese Republic Circa 1930's Hardwood Mother of Pearl Inlaid Table & Stools

About the Item

A very good looking and well made suite, the table is rosewood with mother of pearl inlay, the central section has peacocks which symbolised dignity and beauty and was favoured throughout the Republic period. The peacocks are surrounded by hearts and then on the outer edge flowers. We are delighted to offer this lovely suite of Chinese Republic circa 1930's rosewood with mother of pearl inlay dining table and four stools. This is a very decorative suite, in a lovely timber and will look stylish and elegant in any setting. Condition wise we have cleaned waxed and polished it, there will be normal age and use related patina marks here and there. Table dimensions Height:- 78.5cm Width:- 109.5cm Depth:- 109.5cm Under table height:- 66cm Stools dimensions Height:- 45cm Width:- 35cm Depth:- 35cm Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point. This item is available for collection from our Pulborough warehouses RH20 1DF. Condition: Please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the description pertaining to the condition. Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of creasing and wear, we recommend annual waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
