Early 20th Century Bamboo And Hinoki Wood Japanese Shop Cabinet

About the Item

Early 20th c. bamboo and hinoki wood Japanese shop cabinet, two pieces. Sliding doors. All original including interior shelves. The piece consists of variations of honey color brown using bamboo and burled wood as design accents on the two sliding door sections and the drawers. This is a well constructed piece. Drawers have bamboo nails and work perfectly, as do the sliding doors. This is in very good condition considering its age and use. All hardware is original and forged iron. This cabinet is completely sturdy and functional. Would be ideal for storing pillows and blankets as well as a dining room buffet and storage piece.
