Good Large Double Pedestal Mahogany Partners Desk

About the Item

A Good Large double pedesal mahogany partners desk , with brass gallery to the top the gallery supports simulating corinthian columns, The original dark green leather top with deep and intricate tooling embelllished with gilding , some of the gold has now worn. The breakfront writing top with one central drawer in the frieze above the kneehole space. Each pedestal has 4 long drawers which have the bottoms and sides lined in mahogany and with lovely practical drop swag brass handles. The reverse side with one central drawer flanked by a side drawer beneath which are cupboard doors containing adjustable shelves. The gables with pannelled sides. The whole is raised upon bracket feet with moulding. The top lifts off for simple transportation also this facilitates the possibility of allowing one to change the pedestals so there can be drawers and a cupboard on each side The Brass gallery above the kneehole space has been removed to facilitate easier use for partner.
