About the Item
We are delighted to offer for sale this super rare pair of Chinese Chinoiserie Military Campaign folding chairs which have Indian Elephant decoration.
A very good looking and decorative pair of antique Chinese armchairs, these were made for the Indian export market, I have never seen another pair like them, you can tell they are a Chinese interpretation of what an India looks like by the form and features of the faces
They are based on a period Military Campaign folding chair which is highly collectable in its own right, I can't emphasize enough just how rare these chairs are
Condition wise we have cleaned waxed and polished the them from top to bottom, there will be some age and use related patina marks based on honest age and genuine use
