The artist wanted to unfold the charm of industrial materials in various possibilities. Through the solid strength between the two that he accidentally discovered when trying to connect a polyurethane tube with a bolt, Woojin Park wanted to develop it into a project with artistic qualities such as furniture or hardware. Polyurethane tubes of various colors can be applied in various ways, but transparent materials were selected to expose the beauty of the structure where the tubes and bolts are connected. Several types of nuts that always accompany the bolts act as spacers that can adjust the spacing between the tubes.
The frame made of aluminum was designed to bring both beauty and rigidity at the same time through a new combination that has not been previously used in a line that does not harm the feeling of the tube as much as possible.
The PUT-B system expands the way it can be applied to furniture or hardware through the discovery of solid strength generated by connecting polyurethane (PU) tubes with bolts. PUT-B chair 01 is the first project of the PUT-B system. You can sit on it, lean on it, or use it as a handle to lift it, and you can feel the flexibility and robustness of the PUT-B system at the same time.
