We wanted to unfold the charm of industrial materials in various possibilities. Through the solid strength between the two that I accidentally discovered when I tried to connect a polyurethane tube with a bolt, I wanted to develop it into a project with artistic qualities such as furniture or hardware. Polyurethane tubes of various colors can be applied in various ways, but transparent materials were selected to expose the beauty of the structure where the tubes and bolts are connected. Several types of nuts that always accompany the bolts act as spacers that can adjust the spacing between the tubes. The frame made of aluminum was designed to have beauty and rigidity at the same time through a new method of combining that has not been used before, within a line that does not harm the feeling of the tube as much as possible. The PU-T-B system expands the way it can be applied to furniture or hardware through the discovery of solid strength generated by connecting polyurethane (PU) tubes with bolts. PU-T-B chair 01 is the first project of the PU-T-B system, and you can feel the flexibility and robustness of the PU-T-B system at the same time by sitting on it, leaning on it, or holding it as a handle.
