Side Table with Petrified Wood Top from Indonesia

About the Item

Side table with petrified wood top from Indonesia. The petrified wood top has soft pinkish and gold tones and is from a millions of years old Indonesian fossilized rainforest. The table frame is black painted metal. Petrified wood is a fossilized organic representation of the original vegetation. Minerals present during the petrification process give fossilized wood a variety of color ranges. Pure quartz crystals are colorless, when elements such as carbon, manganese, iron, and copper are present in the process, they result in colors from black to red to cream.
