Vintage Korean Brass and Elm Storage Cabinet with Cabriole Legs

About the Item

This is a beautiful Korean elm storage cabinet with drawers and wonderful details. The wood has a lovely deep patina. The cabinet has elements all over in brass including the hinges. The top has the familiar up-scrolled ends and the four doors at the front slide and can be removed. They are lined with rice paper. There are three little frieze drawers underneath the doors and cabriole legs. The cabinet has a variety of latches and small locks that are for closing and securing items on different parts of the furniture. This is Classic Korean style from the late 19th or early 20th century. The cabinet is 36 inches tall. There are signs of wear to the wood finish that are consistent with age. There is one puncture mark on a portion of the rice paper about the Size of a pencil eraser. This cabinet is full of charm and it presents beautifully. .
