Vintage Rosewood Hand Carved Table with Marble Top
About the Item
The beautiful captured top makes this table a standout. The rosewood table is also interesting for its hand-carved birds and flowers around the front, back and sides of the piece. Our appraiser says it is likely that this table became separated from a nesting table at some point in its history.
In its current life it is an occasional or side table of rectangular section, the top inset with a panel of variegated pink/peach stone, the rails of the top with pierced supports, on a three-sided box stretcher. This table would make a wonderful complement to some of our other marble-top furnishings (coffee table, round console table) in Breccia or peach marble.
It is 21 1/2 inches tall, 17 inches wide, and 12 1/2 inches deep. The piece was acquired at an estate sale with many interesting and unique Chinese and Japanese antiques that are available throughout our storefront. Please look and ask questions if you like. Thank you for looking.
