Asian Black Lacquerware and Gold Tazzas, A Pair

About the Item

A simply gorgeous pair of Asian black lacquer and gold leaf floral decorated tazzas. A tazza can be just for decorative value, while a compote is used to hold something such as food. Delicate and beautiful hand decorated wood. Intricate interlacing gilded floral design with a stylized clover in the middle. Nicely cared for and under glass for a good portion of its life due to the collection number on the underside of the base. Possibly circa 1890-1910. Good overall condition with some chips and cracks along the underside of one example. Some overall cosmetic wear consistent with age and use to the pair. Approximately 5.63" diameter x 5" high.
