Antique 19th C. Chiseled Brass, Oversized Mughal Islamic Indo-Persian Surahi with detachable lid matching body. Indian brass ewer, drinking water flask holder or rose water perfume holder. A late-19th century Mughal Indian oversized Indo-Persian brass bottle in Ghalamzani metalwork. An antique sleek, elegant brass decorative Islamic Metalwork Art vessel, fluted neck, with cap. Of globular form with a tall tapering with chased with stylized floral designs design. The whole body decorated with finely hand embossed, chased decoration of Islamic arabesques scrolls and rosettes between bands of palmettes. This water flask or surahi is in traditional northern Indian Islamic form, with a large bulbous body, a low ring-mat foot and a long tapering neck. It is also complete with a stopper. It is profusely and finely decorated, the decoration is typically Islamic with scrolling foliage within geometric borders. The body has six large scalloped cartouches filled with palmette motifs.
