A beautifully shaped antique cast iron teapot from Japan. This heavy pot, with it's original, decorative handle, exhibits an attractively rough texture and has a very strong presence. It's shape, reminiscent of an old Japanese house or temple, really establishes a sense of place. This object exudes the warmth of a cozy kitchen and will look great as part of a contemporary interior. A rare and unusual object.
