Chinese Export Silver Centrepiece
About the Item
This impressive Chinese Export Silver Centrepiece, consists of a large central dish, pierced with bamboo decoration, supported by five shoots of bamboo also with bamboo leaf decoration. The base which rests on four feet, has two pairs of opposing dragons and two flaming pearls; two rows of beaded decoration; and a row of acanthus leaves. The overall result is an imposing piece of Chinese art, heavy and well made, and a perfect object for the collector or decorator looking for a large statement, decorative centrepiece.
The underside of the base has the mark of Wang Hing, and the incorporated additional mark of DaJi, 大吉, for good fortune.
It weighs 1666g, is 14.5” high, and the diameter of the top dish is 11.75”.
