This is a bronze casting of a wonderful pagoda form lantern dating to the Taisho period, 1912-1926 It is fully operational and you may insert wax, tea, or oil candles. The design reminds us of one of Japan's great historic architectural forms - the Buddhist shrines and temples This lantern was sourced from an old Japanese garden near Fuchchimaya Dimensions: 11 inches high and 8 inches wide Quality: Good used condition. It is portable and boasts an attractive green patina.
