Pair Giant Bronze Foo Dogs Lions 63 Lb

About the Item

A pair of extraordinary 26" wide, 63 lb, heavy cast bronze Foo Dog lions. Each modeled on its side with large turned head with open jaw, bulging eyes and curly eyebrows, framed by a tightly curled mane. One lion holding a ball under his right paw, one under the left, the muscular bodies with defined muscles and robust, upright tails. The raised ears indicate alert awareness and on guard, the ferocious expressions intimidate enemies and ward off evils. Large, strong paws firmly gripping the ground, anchoring the powerful beastly bodies. The Foo Dog lions are important Chinese mythical animals and symbols of protection and security.
