Japan folding two-panel tea screen furosaki byobu depicting a simple cream colored back ground with a blue snow flake border, colors on paper 21.5” high and 74” wide when fully extended. A lovely composition in reasonable, useful size with cream colors. These small tea screens are sought after today for their unique beauty, comfortable size, and the way that they complement contemporary settings. Provenance: Private collection Kanazawa, Japan. We have been dealing in fine authentic Japanese antiques including screens, garden ornaments, lanterns and water basins for many years. Our president personally travels to Japan each year to meet his network partners who assist him in finding best examples.
