$2,000

About
Unique Japanese four-panel folding byobu screen featuring a flowering prunus or plum tree over a dramatic silver leaf ground. The silver has a lovely faded patina that gives a moodiness to the art work which is painted in a moriage or raised pigment style. Signed by artist Isho and set in an ebonized wood frame with a silk brocade border. From an estate in San Francisco, CA. The screen is crafted in the Edo period style after Ogata Korin with Rinpa School influences.
