Japanese Woodblock Print of Three Edo Period Geisha Women One With Yellow Hat
About the Item
A wonderfully composed and beautifully colored Japanese woodblock print featuring three Edo Era fan-wielding gossiping women, perhaps Geishas, one seemingly holding court standing above with quite a brightly colored yellow hat. Printed with a beautiful Mica background.
This is likely a later printing of an original work done in the 17th-18th century.
From an impressive collection of Japanese artworks and prints (of which we will be listing other prints).
Would be a great addition to any Japanese art or print collection or an eye-catching stand-alone accent piece once framed.
