Vintage 1924 Urushibara 10 Woodcuts After Frank Brangwyn

Vintage woodblock prints by Urushibara Mokuchu (Yoshijiro, 1888-1953) Japan, a book of 10 woodcuts, cut and printed in color by the artist, after designs by Frank Brangwyn (1867-19560). Published by John Lane, The Bodley Head Limited, London, 1924, limited edition number 6/250 . Each woodblock print is tipped in , most signed in pencil Y. Urushibara at lower margin. Urushibara collaborated with the Belgium born artist, Frank Brangwyn, translating his watercolors into color woodblock prints. Their most noted collaboration was this portfolio. Book 13" x 10.5" x 1", each print 8.75" x 10", age toning, slip case in poor condition, prints in good condition.
