Unique hand-carved jade flying eagle bird with 18 karat gold jewelry
This is an authentic Chinese "Flying Eagle Bird” jade pendant expertly fashioned as a necklace with a contemporary 18 karat gold setting.
All our Jade jewelry is artisan inspired and handcrafted from authentic hand-carved Jade artifacts and 18-karat gold.
We will provide you with a certificate of authenticity.
Dimensions: The bird is 2.15 inches in length and .75 inches wide and is accompanied by a 22" inch necklace cord.
Provenance: Private American collection
The character ‘ying’ can mean any one of several raptors: falcons, hawks and eagles.
The raptor or eagle "ying" in eastern culture is highly symbolic and symbolizes strength. Eagle tail feathers were considered a potent charm.
