Jimmu Tenno Japanese Emperor Porcelain Bisque Samurai Doll Figurine 18"

About the Item

Vintage doll / figurine portraying Jinmu Tenno – Japan’s legendary first emperor. The doll is crafted with un-glazed porcelain / bisque head and hands, painted features and a lovely white silk robe. The Emperor wears a quiver of arrows on his back, and white beads around his neck, carries an arrow in one hand, and a staff topped with a flying eagle in the other; a magical sword hangs at his side and a golden diadem sits on his long dark hair. The stand is black plastic (mimicking lacquer) with a green surface and a small section of brown rock where the Emperor stands.
