Large Ceramic Buddha Head or Bust with Real Gold Leaf, Asian Circa 1920s
About the Item
This is a very good large head or bust statue or sculpture of Buddha, possibly Chinese or Japanese, which we date to the first half of the 20th century, circa 1920s.
The large head is well formed with good detail, with the entire head (apart from the base) covered in a gold leaf which produces a very distinctive finish to the piece.
The statue has a black felt base which is partially cut away. ( please see images)
