Three Sounth India Indian Nepalese Antique Hindu Temple Architecture Sculptures
About the Item
A wonderful set of three Indian (South India) or Nepalese (Nepal) wood-carved deity architecture ornament sculpture figures - likely of the Goddess/Holy Woman Gangaur the Hindu Mother of all living things.
The pieces are hand-carved each from a single piece of wood and likely came from a Hindu temple circa 1800. Each work has a dark, rich patina that comes with age.
From a Los Angeles collection of Indian and Southeast Asian artifacts.
Would be a great addition to any Asian folk art, sculptures/carvings, or artifacts collection or an eye-catching accent piece in about any setting.
