About the Item

An elegant pair of French hand-wrought iron fireplace andirons, made in the 18th century if not earlier. They are Gothic in style with a reddish brown patina from oxidation of the iron and centuries of exposure to high heat. These heavy andirons come with adjustable spit hooks to cook food over the fire, and caged cups at the top for keeping drinks warm. Please view the detailed images to see more. Sold as a pair.
