Pair of 18th/19th Century French Wrought Iron Andirons
About the Item
Antique French hand forged wrought iron andiron pair, basket style tops, fleur-de-lis lower finial, split from the solid tapering iron columns, which have brackets attached to front with heavy iron rivets for holding tools, mounted on an arched iron base with scroll flared feet. Monumental in size, the distinctive matched pair of firedogs present splendidly with original, nicely aged old patina.
