Pair of 19th Century French Louis XVI Two-Tone Bronze Fireplace Chenets

About the Item

Decorate a fireplace with this elegant pair of neoclassical antique patinated and bronze dore chenets. Crafted in Paris, France circa 1870, each chenet with exquisite ornate neoclassical elements, features a urn with a flame finial top, decorated with intricate garlands, swag ribbon, and dressed with a smaller similar urn at the other end. Their bases are richly detailed with laurel wreaths, acanthus leaves, and scroll work, and the central portion connects both urns with a decorative bridge-like structure, incorporating ornate openwork and geometrical patterns. The Louis XVI fireplace essentials are in excellent condition and adorn a beautiful and luxurious two-tone patinated gilt finish. The craftsmanship showcases a blend of elegant curves and classical motifs, and the composition reflects grandeur and artistic finesse, designed to enhance a luxurious interior setting.
