They are made from wrought iron so they are extremely strong and much stronger than cast iron and wrought iron requires little maintenance and defends rust and corrosion very well unlike cast iron, so they could be left to give the original look that they are. The end upright flat bars are heavy gage and perfect for fixing to a wall or a post. There is a top, middle and bottom heavy gage horizontal flat bar which join to the end uprights and hold the round bar and everything in place.

The mantel is made from Sandstone from the “Massif de Vosges” called Grès Rose, pink sandstone.
One of its unique characters it that the color changes during the day and the way it is lit.
It’s unusual shape and nice paneling combined with the leaf decorations make this a modest yet strong decorative piece.
It is unrestored, it has some chips and imperfections but this only adds to its beautiful pantina.
This mantel can be supplied with returns or can be made to be flush fitted against a wall.

a banga shows ways in which we could live more sustainably, resource-efficiently and minimally – whether in the city on previously empty roofs or in the countryside to make better use of large plots of land. whether as a guest room in the garden or as a vacation home at the lake: a banga usually doesn’t need a building permit, because its floor area remains under 10m² (but beware: in nature reserves or conservation areas other rules may apply, of course!) and as a design object in a very small edition, the banga – in contrast to the diy store hut – rather doesn’t suffer from loss of value.
