Brass Aesthetic Movement Bulrush and Floral Push Plate

About the Item

An amazing Late 19th Century cast brass PUSH push plate. This great period piece is a fine mix of Egyptian Revival, Art Nouveau and Aesthetic Movement design. The raised relief bulrush plants give it that Egyptian Revival feel. The PUSH font gives it an Art Nouveau flavor and the intricate floral pattern give it a very William Morrisesque vibe. Good overall condition. Minor cosmetic blemishes and wear. No visible cracks or repairs. Brown patina on the front. Holes for mounting. Screws not included. Approximately 11.63" high x 3.13" wide x .13" deep.
