Carved Wood, Mirror Architectural Ornament Sculpture, 8 pc, Early 20th Century
About the Item
This incredible set of eight carved wood ornaments is dated from the early 20th Century and was made in France. They are entirely all hand-carved wood architectural fragment sculptures with etched mirror inserts. These carved wood fragments have been sanded in the past and were probably covered with a gold leaf finish. Note the unusual design with floral and fruit patterns. Each ornamental piece is different in size and design. The set features two large, four medium, and two small ornaments.
The decorative set is in good condition, with minor wear consistent with age and use.
Measurements:
Large size 1 is 20.88 in wide (53 cm) x 4.75 in deep (12 cm).
Large size 2 is 19.88 in wide (50.5 cm) x 4.75 in deep (12 cm).
Medium size 1 is 16.75 in wide (42.5 cm) x 5.13 in deep (13 cm).
Medium size 2 is 16.38 in wide (41.5 cm) x 4.94 in deep (12.5 cm).
Medium size 3 is 16.38 in wide (41.5 cm) x 4.75 in deep (12 cm).
Medium size 4 is 16.13 in wide (41 cm) x 4.75 in deep (12 cm).
Small size 1 is 11 in wide (28 cm) x 4.75 in deep (12 cm).
Small size 2 is 9.07 in wide (23 cm) x 5.50 in deep (14 cm).
