We have 2 listings for either single or double doors. This listing is for the single door pattern. We produce the kit for doors up to 50" wide and 120" in height, with kits over 96" tall being Price On Request. The last image showing a double white door is an example of a customer who has installed our starburst kit for reference.
In 2015 we started building the modern Mid-Century Modern starburst door reimagined with solid brass bars and stainless steel. Due to the popularity, we are now offering a hardware door kit that will allow you to install these modernist brass or stainless steel patterns on any interior or exterior door. They can also be used on glass and mirrors and even walls, cabinet fronts, credenzas and even in the kitchen or bathroom. We also have a special kit to turn your garage into a work of art. If you live in an apartment, you can now beautify your door from within. Use these bars on Master bedroom suits or even bathroom doors as they are entirely waterproof. The crescent handles are available post-purchase but are not produced by us and are custom ordered.
Pictured are some applications of the modernist design. Each bar is produced from solid brass or solid stainless steel and are self attaching with a brushed finish. Each kit includes a template to assist with application.
Perfect for new construction or existing doors providing curb appeal through ornament of our door decorative hardware. Perfect for retro fits of Mid-Century Modern homes and businesses. Each kit contains a template and 13 solid brass bars in 1/4" square bar.

Brass or Stainless Steel. Brass is warrantied for 1 year with a finish applied and is for interior use. You can request "living finish" for brass with no coating that will patina with age and use for interior or exteriors. Stainless Steel can be used on interiors or exteriors and has a natural finish that will last decades, but is warrantied for 5 years.

The video shows a set of double doors that highlight the materials coupled with lovely hardware and a smoothness obtained by the quality paint we use.
Highest quality construction with the best hinges, woods and hardware that can be used. All hand made in the United States.
Shown in the first images in blue is a special version of our door with 12 radial bars rather than the usual 13; the later images show available other options.
We build elegant custom interior and exterior passage and entrance doors with a Mid-Century Modern style. Because our doors are individually crafted they can be customized to meet any requirement for use as an interior or exterior door, single or double. They can be produced with all manner of hardware for commercial applications if needed. All sales include pre-hung jambs and units are ready to be installed on-site.
Our doors are built superior to any production line series and all are handmade with no two the same.
Starburst radial design with solid half inch by quarter inch bar raised over colored door. We offer a background in any color desired or wood including oak, walnut, rosewood etc. and the bars can be produced from either brass, aluminum, colored aluminum or wood (walnut, ash, etc) or Stainless Steel.

Custom produced here in the United States. 84" tall x 72" is the common measurement but we can produce in any size, single or double.
The video shows a door with hardware and a smooth textured paint that highlights what is possible for your door with a custom paint selected by the client and produced by Benjamin Moore using Aura Exterior. The customer also had us install a peephole as well and we incorporated this into the vertical bar. High quality construction with the best hinges, woods and hardware that can be used. All hand made. The key to the doors is the use of old Appalachian oaks to produce hard and strong door jambs with our material sourced through local yards and the woods all selected. Critical to a quality door is the true Stave Lumber Core construction which is as good as a wood door can be; strong and resistant to movement using either oak, poplar or pine depending upon the environment.
