Pair of Early 20th Century Polychrome Putti Architectural Tiles with Grape Motif
About the Item
A fine pair of heavy cast polychrome architectural tiles featuring a single putto on each with a grape motif and green border, one dated 1921 on verso, and one illegibly stamped on verso. Probably English in origin, in very good overall condition, with some minor surface craquelure, edge losses, high point losses, paint touchups, and other imperfections and wear commensurate with age and use. These are a great pair of tiles, please note that we are uncertain of material. Dimensions: 20.25 in H x 17.5 in W x 3 in D. Ref: 15
