Baradari, also Bara Dari, is a building or pavilion with twelve doors designed to allow free flow of air. The structure has three doorways on every side of the square-shaped structure.
Because of their outstanding acoustic features, these buildings were particularly well-suited for mujra dance or courtesan dance performances by the noble courtesans. They were also well-suited for live performances and private concerts by various musicians and poets in front of the ruling kings of the time. They were also valued for their fresh air during hot summers of India. Bara in Urdu/Hindi means Twelve and the word Dar means 'door'.

This coat of arms plaque has been hand-carved from Italian limestone. A mid-relief technique was used by the carver, which allows for up to half of the carvings to project when viewed in profile.
A floral point crown tops an escutcheon with a canted top and volute scrolls along the bottom. The quartered shield has been emblazoned with a cross on the upper left and lower right fields. A traditional five-point star graces the lower left side, while the upper right has a sword with a twisted hilt and an S-curved quillon, or crossguard.

The roof line has a maximum height of 100 inches at the apex and an 80 inch height at the sides. French doors at the front are secured by a bolt latch. The frame is detailed with cartouches in the lower panels and arches in the windows. A scrolled decorative pediment is above the door. Windows on the sides and in the roof sections can be propped open to allow for air flow and ventilation.
