Spanish furniture and architecturals of the 18th century, such as this pair of walnut wood entry doors, were highly influenced by French stylings. Hand-carved circa 1750, the doors feature deep, sinuous moldings, reminiscent of the curvaceous motifs seen during the reign of Louis XV. The amazing doors have a rich brown patina that accentuates the charm of the carvings, which are also enhanced by the visible screws used to join the pieces of walnut wood.
Comprised of five carved panels per door, each carving is similar: a rough rectangle with rounded ends and barbed counter curves. The three smaller panels are orientated horizontally, surrounding the two larger and vertically arranged panels. A thickly scrolled bronze pull can be seen on each door, also functioning as door knockers (the door on the right has commensurate wear from the pull striking the wood). We build elegant custom interior and exterior passage and entry doors with a Mid-Century Modern style. Pictured is an exterior entrance door 85" tall and 45" wide and because our doors are individually crafted they can be customized to meet any requirement for use as an interior or exterior door, single or double. They can be produced with all manner of hardware for commercial applications if needed which includes being fire-rated. All sales include pre-hung jambs and units are ready to be installed on-site.
