18th/19th Century English Georgian Period Fireplace Fender

About the Item

A large, over five foot long, antique Georgian pierced brass fireplace hearth fender with beautifully aged patina. Create a stunning focal point with this beautiful ornament! Hand-crafted in England, the elegant Georgian III period (c.1760-1820) features rich openwork decoration, having a floral (daisy or sunflower) motif pattern, framed by running rope twist ornamentation, over molded stepped edge, with solid brass panels at the sides and corners, unusually curved, D shaped, over a thin black iron sheet base. Dimensions:(approx) 7.5" High, 64” Wide, 15.5” Deep.
