About the Item
17th century French Louis XIV fireback with the Arms of France and Navarre.
Arms of the House of Bourbon from France, one of the major royal dynasties of Europe that produced monarchs Spain (Navarre), France, the two Sicilies and Parma. Bourbon kings ruled France from 1589 until the French Revolution and even short periods thereafter. The left half of the weapon consists of three French Lilies (symbolizing French royalty) and the right half is the weapon of Navarre.
The fireback is made of cast iron and has a natural brown patina. Upon request it can be made black / pewter.
