English 19th Century Copper Pot

About the Item

A substantial antique English copper pot, with two narrow handles at the rim, from circa 1850. The exterior has deep patina, shading the dents and dings to a chestnut brown, whereas the interior is more heavily oxidized with streaks of verdigris. Today, the pot could be used by the fireplace as a stylish place to store firewood or reading material by the sofa - even as a planter. Its aged finish will only improve with time.
